Cougar needs Egr valve now for the good.

Cougar has cold Air conditioning and 160xxx miles but runs excellent but check enging light is on telling us egr valve. This is a v8. The interior is a little rough but the exterior is good and has shiny black paint.

all newly replaced.....
Battery, Alternator rebuilt, 2 brand new rear tires, Plugs, wires, Rear main oil seal, Transmission seal, Passenger front wheel bearing,power steering pump,
Fuel pump.

We replaced all that since August of 07.

The Contour needs spark plugs and wires and oil change. (basic tuneup)
and the Air conditioning system needs flushed because compressor is working and is full of freon mechanic told us air conditioning has a blockage somewhere and daughter didnt want to put any more money into these vehicles. This runs excellent but daughter does not like it and this is a v6 engine and gets good gas mileage. This is reddish in color and has a few dings and small dents but not bad.

We are looking to see if anyone out there would happen to have something to trade our daughter for both of these vehicles. She has clear titles in hand for both. She is looking for a 4cyl or v6 and something that is not needing anything as the book for both of her cars is well over $4000.00 for good condition so she is looking for something in the $2000.00-$3000.00 price range to be fair since her cars each need a little something done.

Please let me know if you might be interested and let me know what you have to trade.
We are in Oakwood and could get pictures of both cars sometime this weekend.

I am very picky about the vehicles my wife drives and I do my best to only buy one to two owner vehicles. So, when you combine both of the above issues, I end up with a solid car for sale.

Here's the good:

Cosmetically - It's beautiful. The paint shines with no rust and looks sharp. The interior is in very good condition and is burgundy leather. While there are wrinkles in the leather from age it still shines up nicely (no tears or rips that I saw). It has been very well taken care of.

Mechanically - The engine appears solid and runs as it should. It runs smoothly and does drive straight down the road with no problems. It appears to be completely road worthy. There are a few nit picking items to be aware of. The moonroof and cigarette lighters do not work. It could be a fuse or it could be something more. Everything else, seats, radio, cruise, windows etc work excellent. This car is absolutely loaded with every option that I am aware of.

I was told that the front tires are new and the rear tires are at 60% tread. I would agree with that. The exhaust is also new from the cat back as is the suspension.

This car, private party price via Kelly Blue Book, is around $3500. It is worth every penny and will make someone a great car. The car is located in Tuscola and is available to be seen most any day. My price is firm so please know that upfront. I am simply trying to recover my cost here. Control arms with ball joints replaced (except rear right which is in good shape)
New fuel pump + front and back filter + fuel strainer
New high pressure hose for steering system
Recently changed transmission fluid
New distributor cap and wires
Winter wiper blades

Battery is fine.

Minor leak in steering. Just need to keep watch on steering fluid level.
Needs new muffler (may replace it before) and coolant change.
Front tires may need replacement at some point in near future.

The car has the stuff and wiring for hooking trailer that I never used.

Electronic version of the service manual will be given on CDROM disk + some bonus spare parts.
