PHR / SPHR CERTIFICATION EXAM PREPARATION AUDIO CD LEARNING SYSTEM

Audio on tape (or in this case, lectures on CD) is a convenient way to digest material at one's own pace, or while multitasking (such as during a commute or while exercising). Included in this set of audio compact discs is the information needed to pass the PHR and SPHR exams both efficiently and highly effectively. Each of the six audio discs are approximately 80 minutes in run-time and together the key components and information areas of the exams are covered, including: employee development, worker compensation, benefits planning and administration, equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations, OSHA and compliance, understanding and working with unions, training, regulations imposed by compensation law, affirmative action policy, workplace safety and management of incidents of injury, the National Labor Relations Act, and much more. Additional inclusions are a supplemental DVD lecture and a data disc containing more traditional pen-and-paper study aids.
The quality of the system's educational comtent is matched by the product quality. This set includes thermal pressed (silver bottom) discs identical to those you would purchase in a retail store. Additionally, the content is catered directly toward the structure and historical content of the exams. A text book is often a good supplement, however these discs facilitate the learning a classroom may provide, and in many ways the oration of the content may help test-takers absorb the information with greater ease than more conventional methods. Similar learning systems have sold for several hundred dollars. Please note that this is not the learning system published by SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), but many buyers have stated it to be equally effective and essential to their successfull testing for PHR or SPHR certifications. This system was initially created in 2006, and has been updated for 2009 SHRM testing both in terms of format and content.

In fact, many test takers report leaving the exam in a state of disbelief how little their substantial preparation actually helped! Exploring the core areas of the exam (compensation and benefits; employee and labor relations; workplace planning and employment; occupational health, safety and security; strategic management; and training and development), six introduction assessments provide a summary of the areas of decifit or success, and designed to be best completed after listening to the system, included are six practice exams. Both tools provide timed testing and scored results to prepare you for the actual examination, and the practice examinations go even further by providing an in-depth explanation of why a question's answer is correct and why the competing answers are not.
These tools contain over 475 interactive questions and are presented in a format very similar to the actual exam, including a timer for you to gauge what content areas will require your most significant investment. Quite frankly, these questions are rather difficult, and most do not pass this practice quizzes on their first or even second tries. The practice exams are their own learning opportunities, providing an end-of-test summary of your correct and incorrect answers, unmarked answers, percent correct, elapsed time, and a thorough explanation of why one answer is correct among its competitors - and why. In essence, each answer explanation is a learning opportunity and you will soon come to achieve a deeper understanding of key concepts and how they relate to parallel or related ideas.
