Multi-instrumentalist looking to start a weekend gigging oldies / classics band. Already have practice space in downtown Urbana, with vintage drums and vintage keys available. Just need all the players. I can cover what needs to filled in. Right now I'm playing a 74' Epi through a Silvertone 1484. You should have reasonable vintage gear to reproduce the sounds as best you can. I'm looking to make this project as close to original recordings as we can, including correct harmonies, chords and styles. The aim is to work up 3 different hour sets. One of 50's, one 60's and one 70's so we can play club dates that will pay each member a worthwhile amount. I also think it's important to play a healthy serving of B-sides and album tracks, since pure top 40 will get redundant very quick. So if you can sing, play and dig Motown, Buddy Holly, Berry, Orbison, Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Byrds, Zombies, Floyd and a million other known and unknown acts. Let's get together and play the best music ever made.
