As an 8-member, undergraduate Registered Student Organization, NSA was founded in 1994 by a group of students from a campus theater group. Since then, we have gone on to record five CD's (and counting!), taken second place in the National Finals of the 1997 International Collegiate Championship of A Cappella (ICCA) at Carnegie Hall, and traveled each spring break to various locations across the US & Canada, including New York, Austin, Chicago, Boston, New Orleans, Missouri, Montreal, Georgia, and Destin, Florida most recently. In addition to our past successes, we perform both locally and regionally for a variety of events and organizations. Although we specialize in jazz, we're known for our wide variety of music, ranging from choral masterpieces to jazz standards, rock favorites to popular music's most guilty pleasures. Our members represent nearly every college in the University, but all are musicians, and each one of them is dedicated to musical success.

I play bass guitar and we have a trumpet player and a singer/djembe player. We have original songs which range in influence from funk to reggae, and I would love to add a trance aspect to our sound with my friend who plays keyboard.

We have a classroom to practice in every week, and we should be able to get several shows booked for next semester.
