I just moved to the area after playing for over 10 years in Peoria. I am a true front man so I play guitar and sing. I have experience with multiple bands and several different styles. I am looking to form a new band in the Champaign area and need members who want to learn some songs and eventually get on the road. I do not write music for just myself, or just for "fun". Local original band is seeking musicians to "sit-in" or join the creative process of writing, recording and/or playing out. We gig regularly, and have finished an EP of 4 songs. The level of commitment is totally up to you. We typically practice 2-3 times a week and play 2 times a month.

Whiskey Outlaws, a Chicago based Blues & Rock band, is looking for new members to join for 2010. We are currently seeking a drummer, bassist (current bassist looking to move to lead vocals), a second guitarist, and keyboardist.

We are looking for experienced musicians. Those with inflated egos and overbearing leadership skills need not apply. We perform for the love of playing music, and also under the idea we're not looking to get rich from playing gigs. In other words we have day jobs, we take care of our brother musicians, but do not charge through the nose for our shows.

We play Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, & soul. We do not play Alternative, Grunge, Metal, anything of that sort.

We practice in Milford, IL and play gigs everywhere from Kenosha, WI, to Effingham, IL, to Terre Haute, IN. The willingness to travel for practice and gigs is needed.

Instead, I'm going to let the email speak for itself. I am surprised, however, that you found the time to respond to my ad - you know, with being arrested for serving alcohol to minors all the time and what not. You must really be an incredible, outstanding human being. And clever too, judging by your articulate response.

Anyways, I see no point in competition between musicians or bands. As far as I'm concerned, we're all here to play music, have fun, and maybe make a little cash along the way. The fact of the matter is, there is no room here for elitist attitudes. And to judge someone solely by one particular genre of music is incredibly ignorant and closed minded - and after listening to your own "music", you have absolutely no room to be judging anyone.
