These are handcrafted with care and attention to detail. (No stencils, printed stickers or thin aluminum used here) They are hand painted with quality exterior satin paint on moisture resistant and durable industrial plywood. Framed quilts have a solid cedar frame that is attached with stainless steel screws. The frame creates a more finished look and is always included with every order. The entire quilt and frame is finished with a minimum of 5 coats of spar urethane for added protection from moisture and UV protection.
We DON'T use cheap plywood in our barn quilts. If you can see the woodgrain in the face of the barn quilt in the final product they will not last! A barn quilt should NEVER need maintenance. If they say it does it is NOT made correctly!
A Morning Star Barn Quilt needs no maintenance.
