Older experimental musician looking for live collaborators (Urbana etc)

Recent transplant to C-U, used to frequently playing live in his former location and really missing it, looking to meet local musicians and make some interesting or at least fun music. Multi-instrumentalist (keys, bass, guitar, drums, DSP/glitch/modular nerdery) with a strong formal training and theory background, but not usually a prick about it.

I'd love to be making somethin' nutty in a jazzy/post-bop, Zeuhl, chiptune, math, shoegaze, premillennial indie pop, vintage country, polytonal mathgaze vintage country, and/or groin-shattering Albini-esque vein, with the eventual possible goal of playing the Sipyard or Loose Cobra for five or six people one fine Sunday afternoon after taking 18 months to democratically write a set's worth of material. (I guess it could go faster if the chemistry is truly perfect, but I do have a job and a toddler.)

I like Beefheart, Deerhoof, Louis Cole, 5000000000000 other musicians that don't suck, all the same late 70s/80s/early 90s college radio shit that everyone generally agrees upon at this point, and of course Hum.
