We are currently looking fill 1 room at our 7 bedroom co-op as soon as possible. Our home is located on a spacious three acre lot in a mellow Middle Urbana neighborhood, about a mile from campus and walking distance from downtown Urbana and 2 grocery stores. The co-op has been around since the 1970's and has been a home to a wide variety of personalities and people and animals. The house shares the land with many awesome trees and berry bushes, a huge permaculture garden, chickens, garage, and a big red barn.

The co-op can supply a bed and furniture or, if you have your own furniture, that's fine too. The house is colorful and comfortable with free onsite laundry, a big kitchen, dining room, living room, and spacious front porch.
Room prices range from $285 to $350 before utilities and shared food costs. Average utilities range around $150 per month - which includes power, gas, electric, water, sanitation, trash/recycling, internet, and food. Food costs are distributed to individual members based on personal usage.
La Casa Grande Colectiva does follow a membership process, which includes a brief application and follow up interview(s).
We look forward to meeting you!
